Fixing common CSV errors
Encoding, dates, and empty rows.
If your upload is rejected, it is almost always one of:
- Encoding: save as UTF-8 (not UTF-16 or Windows-1252). Excel users: File → Save As → CSV UTF-8. - Date format: ISO 8601 (`YYYY-MM-DD`) is safest. Locale-formatted dates like `03/04/25` are ambiguous and may be rejected. - Empty rows or trailing commas: open the file in a plain text editor and remove them.
Files up to 20 MB are supported.
