Turn Square Transaction Data Into Revenue Recovery Insights

Cafés, salons, studios and shops run on Square. Revenow turns those transactions into a clear view of which regulars are visiting less and what their visits used to be worth.

The Challenge for Square Users

In-person businesses rarely notice a regular who stops coming in. There is no cancellation, just one fewer familiar face.

Square shows daily sales well, but connecting transactions to individual customers over months takes extra work.

Data You Need

  • Transactions linked to a Square customer profile
  • Payment date and amount
  • Read-only OAuth access to your Square account

See how to prepare customer data for formatting tips.

Connecting Square

  1. In Revenow, choose Square and sign in with your Square account.
  2. Approve read-only access to customers, orders and payments.
  3. Revenow imports the data. It never writes to your Square account.

Payments not attached to a customer profile can't be assigned to a person, so they don't count toward individual customer history.

The direct connection is set up after signing in and requires the Report plan or Pro. See pricing.

How Revenow Analyzes the Data

Revenow measures visit frequency and days since each customer's last transaction, relative to the analysis reference date, using Generic 1.0 thresholds (60 and 90 days).

Regulars who slip into at-risk or inactive appear in a ranked list with estimated revenue at risk or recoverable revenue.

All figures are estimates based on past activity, not guaranteed recovered revenue. Revenow doesn't contact customers for you.

Illustrative Example

Hypothetical business and figures.

A hair salon with 900 profiled clients sees that 75 clients who booked monthly last year are now past 90 days. Those clients become a personal re-booking list for the front desk.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Revenow need customer profiles in Square?

Yes, for per-customer analysis. Anonymous payments can't be tied to a returning person.

Can Revenow change anything in Square?

No. Access is read-only.

Is this useful for a single location?

Yes. The analysis looks at customers, not locations, so it works for one shop or several.

Which plan do I need?

The direct Square connection requires the Report or Pro plan.
